As a Christian, many times I know what I believe with regards to science, but not necessarily why I believe it, aside from, because the Bible says so.
There you have it, now you know the truth, but I am learning!
This book is the first in a series written to teach elementary aged students (and their parents) about Christian apologetics. This is a great story with excellent illustrations.
The best part is, it provides scientifically based proof of our Biblical beliefs.
In this book, Thomas and his dad went to the tree house before bed every night. This night, he talked about his friend Nicholas saying that his father believes there is no proof of God’s existence. Thomas’s dad uses something he knows about and understands, video tapes, to relate how the universe moves in space. This helps him to understand both how to know that God exists and how to explain it in an age appropriate way.
My kids absolutely loved the book. We have read it together a couple of times, but the girls have both grabbed the book and escaped to their room to look through it on their own several times.
This is a great picture book written by Melissa Cain Travis, illustrated by Christopher Voss, and published by Apologia. The hardcover and thick pages make for an excellent quality book! It can be purchased from the Apologia website for $16.00.
