Mommy, look at those clouds. Look how the sun is shining through them. When I see the sun shining like that, it makes me think of Heaven.
Yeah, it does me too. I love to see the sun shining through like that…
Mommy, do you think God is letting the sun shine down on us like that this morning because he is happy that we believe in Him?
I don’t know, honey, but I like to think so.
Fast forward a couple of weeks …
We walked outside at dusk to find this gorgeous sky…
Wow, Mommy! Look at the sky! Hurry, take a picture! It looks like God painted the sky!
God knows D better than anyone on earth. D was fearfully and wonderfully created by God. When God made him, he created him with autism.
God created everyone fearfully and wonderfully. He knew that they would have disabilities, he knew that they might not have the same cognitive or emotional ability to make decisions as others. However, God made them! God knows their hearts.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
D told me he wants to be a Christian singer. He said he wants to play football and be a Christian singer so that people know he loves God. God knows this little boy’s heart, God knows that this little boy loves Him and believes in Him.
Can a person with autism be a born again Christian? With all my heart, I fully believe that yes, a person with autism can be a born again Christian. God knows their hearts and they are capable of loving others, even someone they have to believe in rather than seeing the concrete proof.
