The 2:1 Conference

I HOPE TO2:1 Conference Button!!!!!

The 2:1 Conference is place for moms to come together for fellowship and learning. This is an opportunity to grow as a homeschooler, as a blogger, and as a Christian. There will be general and breakout sessions with speakers sharing Biblical based information to help us grow in each area.
An opportunity to attend this conference would mean the world to me. As I work to grow in my walk with Christ, the chance to spend so much quality time with so many amazing, like minded, Christian women would be a blessing. These women have so much knowledge to share and being able to pick their brains and spend time with their special hearts would certainly help me grow with Christ.
You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.
Titus 2:1
I would also like to attend this conference for the homeschooling information. As a new homeschooler, I can use all of the help and encouragement I can find. This conference is based on Titus 2:1, it is based on raising our children in a Christian home and educating them the way God would have each of us educate our children. While not everyone chooses to homeschool, we all have a duty to teach our children Biblical principles and truths in all areas of life. This conference will give me an opportunity to learn more about giving that to all of my children, in addition to the curriculum that I am conditioned to teach as a former public school teacher.
Finally, I’d love to learn more about how to grow as a blogger. I consider myself a blossoming blogger in that I may have been writing regularly for a while, but have only just begun to grow as a known blogger with a specific set of topics. While I write predominantly about our life with D, I also write about Christianity, Autism, and other special needs. I am praying for the opportunity to learn more about gearing my blog towards a specific audience and how God would have me to use my blog as a way to share about Him.
The three breakout sessions that I think will best help me reach these goals are Cultivating Online Community, Keeping Littles Entertained, and Homeschooling with Special Needs.
Cultivating Online Community will help me to grow in blogging and gearing my blog towards the target audience, not just my family and friends.
Keeping Littles Entertained is definitely one of my concerns as we embark on this journey. How on earth will I do a good job teaching D when I am trying to juggle juice cups, stepping on Littlest Pet Shop toys, and lassoing marker wielding toddlers?
Last but not least, homeschooling D is a bit overwhelming because of his special needs. He and I are sure to butt heads like two billy goats at times. I am sure that with the help of the ladies presenting this breakout session, I will find new ways to avoid those times. (In the interest of full disclosure, my dear friend Jennifer is one of the presenters. She and I have coined the term BFFE best friends for eternity as we are friends of the heart because we have never met. God brought us together through a silly Twitter conversation that turned into a special God blessed friendship. Having the opportunity to meet her in person would surely be icing on the cake!)
I would love to find a sponsor for my ticket and travel expenses. I will share your the products or services in a Godly way with those at the conference, as well as in my community. I would be willing to do any advertising on my blog within the terms of service allowed by Blogger, as well. In the meantime, I am praying for God’s wisdom on financing this opportunity that will not only help me, but would also help my family in the long term.

  1. Thank you all, ladies! I am still praying for a more financially feasible way, but I know that God will provide the way for me to attend. I am so excited and looking forward to seeing all of you there!
