Once upon a time there was a beautiful little boy. This little boy was tall, slender, had a smile that could light up the world. Those who did not know him thought he was just like every other little boy; happy, friendly, and active.
The little boy had a secret buried deep in his heart. Instead of being like other little boys, he struggled with an internal torture that no one could see. His family saw that struggle when he was just a toddler, but that young, no one else could recognize it. As he continued to grow and struggle, his parents consulted medical professionals and counselors, but it was difficult finding help. Those who were closest to him knew that he struggled, but aside from doctors, it was a family secret. His Mommy and Daddy did not want his teachers and friends to judge him, he did not want to appear differently to his peers.
Since no one else knew, no one else could help. This made life more difficult for the little boy and his family, and the struggling became more intense for everyone involved. Finally, the family realized they needed more help and they began to open up. Unfortunately, many of the people who should have been able to help only caused more turmoil for the little boy.
At some point, the little boy’s struggles became more intense and the family had to seek out of home treatment. The boy went to a little brick cottage hidden in a thicket of tall, beautiful pine trees. While there, he met the beautiful Queen Devotion. Queen Devotion was always available for the boys and girls in the cottage. She loved them and was dedicated to helping them learn to overcome that internal struggle they all had. Queen Devotion had many men and women that worked with her who also had that same dedication.
After the little boy had been at the cottage for several months and was making progress, King Dollar determined he was ready to return home. The little boy was still struggling internally and the Queen, her men and women, and the little boy’s family all agreed he was not fully prepared to overcome the internal struggles that were running his life. King Dollar did not care and the little boy, complete with continued internal struggles, went home.
Once home, the little boy struggled in some ways more than he did before he went to the cottage in the pine trees. He began experiencing extreme anxiety in situations that at one time had made him the happiest. His parents and Queen Devotion from the cottage in the pines expected this would be the case and made appointments with more doctors and counselors. Doctor Cube was finally the doctor who understood the little boy. He truly understood and was willing to work to find a medication to help the little boy learn to cope with his internal struggle.
After several ups and downs with the medications, Doctor Cube found the magic solution. That solution brought about stability for the first time in several years. The little boy had the ability to accept no for an answer. He was accepting and living within the rules of his home, he was even accepting consequences for normal little boy behavior.
Ahhhh….the family was finally starting to breathe a sigh of relief. The little boy was finally showing signs of happiness. The work from Queen Devotion and those who worked with her had finally been able to shine through because the medication solution from Doctor Cube was working so well.
It was almost a happily ever after moment…Until….
The little boy’s mommy went to the big red box one day. The big red box is where Mommy & Daddy would pick up the medicine that helped so much. This day, the Prince of Prescriptions handed the little boy’s mommy 2 bottles. He explained, “The big brown box where our medicine comes from has changed this type of pill. They are now giving you purple ones. There are 10 of the yellow ones left and then the little boy must take the purple ones.” The Mommy did not think much of it and went on about her business.
Suddenly, things began to change. The little boy was no longer enjoying the same level of happiness and understanding. He was no longer enjoying the things normal little boys deal with, instead he was once again dealing with that terrible internal struggle. He was unable to understand what was going on inside his body, and his family was confused as well.
Finally, the little boy’s mommy decided to call the big red box and talk to the Princess of Prescriptions. The princess called the big brown box and ordered the yellow pills again. Unfortunately, they were not available. When the Prince of Prescriptions came in the next day, he and the mommy talked several times to find a solution to the problem with the medication. Finally, after talking to the Prince of Prescriptions (the princess had ventured into the kingdom for a few days), King Dollar, and Doctor Cube, it was determined to change the little boy’s dosage of the medicine. The new dose allowed him to take the name brand instead of the generic of that medication.
When the little boy’s daddy picked up the name brand medication, his mommy could not possibly get it into him soon enough. As soon as the daddy walked in, his mommy gave the little boy his new medicine. The little boy went to bed that night and the next morning woke up significantly different. As each day has passed since the new medicine dose, the little boy has returned to that point of understanding and acceptance a bit more.
Finally, the family is starting to see him become happier and able to cope more appropriately with difficult times. While everyone agrees this is not yet a happily ever after moment, the family is praising God for what they are calling
Happily until next time…
